EURO RSCG CHICAGO DESIGNS SWEATER COVERED HEART FOR “HEARTS A BLUHM” CITY-WIDE PUBLIC AWARENESS EXHIBIT

CHICAGO – January 31, 2011 – Euro RSCG Chicago, a leading integrated marketing communications agency, has designed “Chicago’s Warm Heart,” a custom knit sweater for their unique contribution to the “Hearts a Bluhm” public awareness campaign and city-wide art exhibit. In knit letters, Euro RSCG Chicago’s design communicates the deep love citizens have for their hometown and the importance of heart health. The sweater was knit by Chicago artist Tonette Navaro. Euro RSCG Chicago created the heart design in support of the agency’s sponsorship of Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute’s campaign, designed to generate widespread awareness of the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease.

From February 1-28, 2011, to coincide with National Heart Month, 100 hearts will literally “bloom” in the flower beds along N. Michigan Ave. Euro RSCG Chicago’s oversized acrylic heart (about 5-feet tall) will appear with 99 other hearts designed and decorated by Columbia College Chicago and additional sponsoring organizations. Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute’s intent with this bold public art display is to encourage conversations about cardiovascular disease and its prevention and to call attention to proper diagnosis and treatment. The Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute provides tips for maintaining a healthy heart to prevent disease as displayed on each of the heart bases.
